13 tips to make your blog popular
I am writing this blog to help you in starting and setting up your own blog. I would like to share few things with all of you that I learned before beginning my blog. So, lets get started!
1. When to start
It's never too late. Start now! when you will start writing, you will get knowledge, get your own writing style and explore blogging. At times, we just think, should we do or not to do. Believe me, once you jump in the water, you will start swimming.
2.Why blogging
Ask yourself a quetion before you start anything, why?! Money making can't be only goal to write. Sharing knowledge, sharing ideas should be your priority. Gossips can also be sold if they presented properly.wink!
3.Topic selection
you have to know what are your strengths. also, what are the subjects you are really good in. before serving the meal, taste it yourself. that means your pro efficiency should be useful to your readers.
4.Knowledge
Once you pick some topic, make sure, you do a good research on it and then write. People love reading if they got to know the depth of knowledge in your blog.
5. Personal touch
Don't worry. Not all the topics requires depth of knowledge. Some are your own experiences, personal thoughts and advice you give. I just say, whatever you write, it should have your own personal touch to it. Its makes the work look magical.
6. Patience
Be patient. write write and write. It's a long term work. bloggers don't get success in a day. It's tremendus hard work and word workmanship will pay you one day. until then, write!
7. Short it up
No one writes a book in blogging. Make it readable at a single time. I personally don't like reading more than three pages at a time. People get bored when they have to read lengthy paragraphs. Short is sweet in blogging.
8. Stick to subject
Don't get off the ground. Stick to your subject of interest so that you get lots of topics. Ideas are infinite. Choose wisely what you really passionate about.
9. Flow in writing
Write like a conversation. it makes a reader interested in your work, even you. When you write all by yourself, even the information gets into news; news that readers would like to know about.
10. Work hard
Write with all your mind into it. don't just rip it off. you miss the deadline but don;'t miss on the content. Make efforts to look your blog great. be picky.
11. Let it settle down
No hurry. Don't go for pro cameras at the beginning. You can take good photos to upload on your blog. Invest where you really require to. otherwise let it settle down.
12. Be consistant
Don't put blog every single day. Promise what you can really make in long run. Say, twice a week is good enough. Quality with consistant quantity is good. Follow your deadlines.
13. Don't rely on one
If you are thinking of full time blogging, rethink. Try more mediums like youtube, social media. It can also help your blog to be crowded.
