writing - major answers
All of us are blessed with the thoughts oriented minds. Thoughts
come in mind and vanish. Ideas come in mind and vanish. To make that thoughts
or ideas stay in your mind, you need to do something; that something is writing.
Why to write?
To hold on thoughts which vanish, write! Writing makes that
thoughts live longer than they stay in mind. I personally feel that the written
things can be passed to next generation without you. For oral transmission of
thoughts needs at least one learner and one teacher. Holding on to your ideas
will end with you. Spreading it with appropriate audiences is the right thing
to do.
Sudha Murthy, author and co-founder of Infosys says, “I can’t
hold on my stories, I just need to express them to somebody. Telling one to one
can’t serve the purpose of distribution of knowledge. So, I started writing.” I
don’t say that everybody should publish what you are writing. But express
yourself.
Once you start writing your own way, you will start growing
as a person. Few of the researches show that writing your problems on a paper
and fire that paper away can solve the problem sooner than holding them to you.
Similarly, writing down the happiness, your blessings can multiply themselves
by reading them again and again. It also brings back the memories by reading
it.
What to write?
To begin with, you’re daily, weekly to do list, your
appointments, your goals, ambitions, targets to achieve, write them bold. If
you want to write, you’re daily routine, like a diary, where you write about,
what you did, what happened today, light minded things. You can write about
your experiences, your hobbies, your skills and how you developed them. You can
write short stories that you heard somewhere or made them to tell your kids. You
can write about your travels, your food, and your lifestyle. Anything that
connects to your soul, you can write!
When to write?
Start with now! There is no other good time to begin than
today. Since, we are discussing about writing purposely, decide the most non accommodative
timing suitable for you.
Once you decide what to write, then it’s not difficult to
decide when! I would suggest, write every day. You write four lines or four
pages as per your convenience, but write daily.
If you are a morning person, after finishing with your exercise
and breakfast, you can write. If you are able to write in a day with some
peace, fix that suitable time for you. If you have no time, whole day, just
before going to sleep, instead of swiping up with instagram, why don’t you
write for 10 minutes?
If you have willed, you will get it done. Everybody follows
their routine. You can decide on which time is suitable for you. Get a calm
mind, clean surroundings and your diary with pen.
Where to write?
There are many mediums available with which you can write
now a days- tab, mobile phone, laptop etc. but prefer handwriting. When you
write with your hand, your brain concentrates on thoughts and not on multiple distractions
that gadgets brings. Hand written things memorizes earlier than typed ones. So,
write with your hand!
