happy monsoon
In India, we have 3 seasons. Summer, monsoon and winter. I
live in moderate climate zone. So, I can enjoy all the seasons to the fullest.
June to September is monsoon.
The newness makes my mind ignited. Greenery all over the
earth we see... dew points on the leafs of trees in the morning... freshness in
the air after the rain. Looking for the rainbow finishing up the rain and sun
looks shyly from behind the skies. The charming atmosphere creates new poets
and poetries every year in monsoon.
This are the thoughts come when we get a coffee mug and sit
in window looking outside while rain touches the earth. Seriously.. Something
unusual, something dreamy happens to the mind at such moments. Onion pakoda and
hot tea gets the most of attention of our foodies while raining. Green gown of
earth makes our mind go crazy about nature. Outings to the hills, mountains and
waterfalls are planned in this period. I think monsoon pulls us towards nature,
towards our roots.
This season gets varied response from varied occupational
statuses. Farmers love this season. The seed converts into a sprout; that
brings pleasure. The grocery shops get their go downs filled... The office
going city crowd objects on traffic- getting late to work due to rain. The school
and colleges are filled with the new start of academic studies. While food
joints of bhajji and tea gets occupied, Doctors gets the patients of
dehydration and loose motions.
Some people have their own issues with rain. They hate the
mud, they hate wet roads, and they even hate the cold-humid environment. People
wear raincoats, gumboots, and uses umbrella to cover from rain. Person who
hates getting wet in rain haven’t enjoyed their childhood. As a child, one must
enjoy making paper boats and looking at frogs in those rain made small ponds.
Today, recollecting the memory of that innocence of riding a boat in water
still leaves a smile on face.
Rain comes for spreading joy and freshness. This season, is
worth giving attention. If you are still sitting in front of your laptop or
smartphone, I would suggest you to go, see the surroundings, and see some
nature friendly spots. Let your inner poet get wake up. Create. Enjoy. Happy monsoon!
